dtl detail (Dtl)

(This is the system overview and etiquette. Command references:
help pro, help think, help quiet, help dwho,
help dtulist, help pair, help bespeak.)

The dragon telepathic link (DTL) is how dragons talk: to each
other at any distance, and each to their own rider. The main
            command is pro:

pro all = <message> - every listening dragon (sparingly!)
                pro weyr = <message> - your Weyr's dragons
pro local = <message> - the dragons in the room
pro <dragon> = <message> (several names also work)
                pro <person> = <message> - a human mind (see below)

Start the message with : to pose instead of speak, or use
proem for a fully freeform line (your dragon's name is
appended). think <message> reaches only your own lifemate,
and quiet on shutters your dragon against everything but
think. dwho, dwhere, dtulist and pair tell you
            who is on the link.

            # subtopics

            ## things to keep in mind

            - What you hear on the link is your dragon hearing other
dragons, choosing to pass it on. Riders and dragons are not
constantly in each other's heads - both halves of the bond
              learn to filter.
            - Dragonchatter can be great RP, but don't inflict it on
scenes that aren't involved: prefer the narrowest scope
that fits, and use pro all rarely.
            - The link is for IC talk, not OOC chatter (that's what
              channels and osay are for).
            - A dragon bespeaking a human who is not their rider is
extremely rare and unsettling, done only with humans the
dragon knows well - and most humans simply aren't that
interesting to dragons. Use pro <person> accordingly.

            ## what the target sees

Dragons (and their riders, via relay) see your scope label and
line: <Local> Kenzieth says, «Is anyone awake out there?»

A person you project at gets no name with spoken words -
In your mind, you hear a soft voice say, «...» - though a
pose (pro <person> = :tickles their senses.) does reveal
the dragon. Anonymity is an IC courtesy, not an OOC shield.
